To remove the front bumper you need to get down under the bumper and find the two big bolts holding it to the vehicle, can't remember but might be 24mm headed bolt into encapsulated nut.

The front lower outer cross member (seen below) has been removed in the above photo as has the air filter and it's inner trunking.

To remove the air filter unit you need to undo the nut which is holding the air filter housing to the bulkhead on the passengerside, and the air trunking inside the cab to the air intake manifold which is attached via a large jubilee type clip, then pull it out through the front of the vehicle, you can remove the trunking from the air filter housing but I just pull it through the bulkhead carefully.

Ok this pic is from the refit, and as you can see it is nice and painted, but you need to remove the two bolts each side and any that are top or bottom along its horizontal section.

 

Recomended tools for the job.

13mm spanner / socket / extension bar, 24mm socket / spanner .
