I recently bought a J reg S46 short wheel base Dodge - she's generally brilliant, but could do with a new set of back doors before the old ones fall off with rust exhaustion. So, if anyone might know of any floating around, I'd be mighty happy. She's silver, so I guess that's preferable, but any colour will do really.

Cheers

Caz

We have just bought a 1987 Dodge 50 B56, which has been converted to live-in
and are looking forward to summer on the road, (once we get an MOT)! Have to
say that as we are both novices to this vehicle your website is a godsend
and we are quickly becoming obsessed with all things Dodge 50. I noticed
someone was looking for insurance, and just in case anyone else is
struggling with that too, we got ours covered no problem with Co-op
Insurance Services for less than £300. Their quoteline number is 08457
464646.
Keep up the good work!

I have just bought a Dodge motor home circa 1979, from the front it looks remarkably like your Dodge 50 pictures, but has a coachbuilt motor home on the back.

On the doors it says C35. The chassis number is R835AL3N2323190943, and the engine is a Perkins 3.8 L unit with the engine number 236UE40600.

I am after help sourcing any technical info on this vehicle/engine combination.

I have looked through your pages, and the pictures of certain recognisable parts of the engine appear all but identical to mine.

Am I barking up the wrong tree, or is this a Dodge 50.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Super Site, one that has been needed for ages. So much info and you can't find it anywhere else, I know, I've looked. Keep it up

Greg, thanks for your excellent site, I have just got my first Dodge 50, a 1990 S56 long wheelbase van and wanted to find a new wiper motor and a spare wheel. First stop Google, and hey presto I typed in Dodge 50 parts and your site came up, to say I was pleased to find you is an understatement, a veritable supply of information and yes I managed to secure the bits I wanted. A Dodge owners meet up in 2003 sounds great. Good Luck with the site, I will return.

Hi all, Just a word of appreciation for your grand efforts, help & enthusiasm
aimed at those brave enough, adventurous enough or just plain daft & broke
enough to drive these capable donkeys. The harder & longer you push them in
service the more your appreciation and respect grows for em.

I`ve been running a SWB S46 van (1991 mod)
ex-Southern Electric since Jan.1996 in the general building game and running
up and down the country from my oldham base .He sure has been an honest and
dependable truck.
